What is the most common stance for movement in karate? San Chin

When stepping forward in a short stance which part of the foot touches the floor first? Ball of your foot

When stepping forward in a longer stance, which part of the foot touches the floor first? Heel of your foot

At attention position: Heels touching and toes open about 60 degrees – Masubi Dachi

Ready position: Feet straight shoulder width apart, weight 50-50 – Heiko Dachi

Relax position: Feet are shoulder width apart and pointed slightly out, weight 50-50 – Shizentai

Position where one foot is in front of the other, feet shoulder width apart, heel of the front foot is on the same line as the toes of the back foot, weight 50-50 – San Chin Dachi

Position where feet are straight, double shoulder width apart, knees are pushing out – Kiba Dachi (horse rider stance)

Position where feet are facing outward, double shoulder width apart – Shiko Dachi

Position where one foot is farther in front than in San Chin (if you kneel, you knee should be on the same line as the heel as the front foot), feet facing slightly to the angle, knees bent, weight 50-50 – Suigoshi

Position where one foot is farther in front than in San Chin, similar to the Suigoshi stance, but the front foot is aimed forward and front knee is bent, back leg is completely straight and the weight is 70-30 (front-back) – Zen Kutsu Dachi (front bent stance)

Position where you are standing on one leg with the up knee as high as your belt, one hand is down at your knee and the other is near your forehead – Tsuru Dachi
